THIS is a non-political letter and, I hope, an opportunity to give some positive feedback regarding the behind the scenes work about my local MP, Helen Goodman, and her excellent team at her Bishop Auckland surgery.
My story, I am sure, can be echoed by many. I’ve had to give up work due to the decline in health of close family members, including my mother who is in the latter stages of Alzheimer’s, my father who has suffered two strokes and also my only sibling, my sister.
I have been at the end of my tether when dealing with issues pertaining to the Government benefit system and having worked all my life up to 2011 have been shocked by the treatment I received.
Helen and her team have resolved many issues for me with great professionalism, compassion and, most importantly, they have treated me with great respect.
With special thanks to Andrea.
Gail Taylor, Bishop Auckland
