REGARDING John Littlejohn’s letter praising the council workers who kept roads and paths clear during the recent snow (HAS, Jan 25).
Can he please send the good council workers from Tow Law area into the Consett/Castleside area?
The main council car park in Consett was not touched, nor were many of the side roads and housing estates Mr Littlejohn is getting better value for his council tax than most people. There are snow ploughs and gritters running around our main roads that are clear but that is all.
We have not even had dustbins emptied in some parts of the area for more than three weeks.
It was always said Tow Law was the last place God made and He forgot to finish – but He must have left good council workers there.
