THE BBC Sports Personality of the Year award is upon us.
What a difficult job it will be to find a winner.
I know that Bradley Wiggins, Jessica Ennis, Mo Farrah, Andy Murray and Sir Chris Hoy are among the favourites to win, but what about the paralympians whom I really enojoyed watching this year.
I especially enjoyed David Weir, the wheelchair racer who won four gold medals.
I pay tribute to all the other paralympians, too many to mention, who won medals at their various events.
Now wouldn’t it be great for a paralympian to be BBC Sports Personality of the Year for the first time in the history of the competition?
My vote will go to David Weir, and at 25-1 I think I’ll put a few bob on him at my local bookies.
