ON December 10, 1868, London’s first set of traffic lights was installed in Westminster.
The only reason it was put at this point was so MPs could cross the road to get into Parliament.
Since then nothing much has changed. MPs still put their own needs before those of anybody else, as has become more and more evident in the last few years. It still continues today.
