THE Government’s plans to introduce minimum unit pricing on alchol is a further attack on working class folk, since having a few drinks is one of last affordable vices we can afford and enjoy.
Having a drink is very much part of our culture and should remain affordable. When the minimum alcohol unit pricing comes into effect the working class, along with everyone else, will also be hit by an increase in Council Tax.
How? Because someone will have to foot the bill for the drinks’ tab run up by local councillors. It’s about time folk stood up together and demand change from our political elite.
