AFTER looking at what Dave Myers and Si King have got up to over the years, it is a wonder they have come up with another culinary matter to tackle.

However, they have, and over the next six weeks, they will be dishing up The Hairy Bikers’ Everyday Gourmets.

This time, they are bringing a little bit of luxury to our lives. They will be doing so by demonstrating how to prepare gourmet-style meals.

You won’t need a budget the size of a Michelin-starred restaurant to be able to carry out these recipes successfully. The emphasis is on clever cooking, using everyday ingredients and prudent tips from the past to produce sumptuous meals.

Dave and Si begin their task by getting money-saving tips from staff at The Hand and Flowers in Marlow, Buckinghamshire, the UK’s only two-star Michelin pub. Everything they learn is then used to prepare a surprise barbecue as a thank you to those who helped a wounded soldier in his recovery.
