Loved spending some time this morning with illustrator Paul Wick at New Marske Primary School.

The utterly brilliant Year Three pupils have been doing a project on our children's books, the Monstrous Morals, and it was great fun reading Fartin' Martin Sidebottom to them and then doing a writing workshop.

When they wrote to me to invite me into the school, I made a deal with them that I'd only come if I got custard creams.

I couldn't believe it as I was leaving when they unveiled a giant custard cream, with my initials on, as a present.

I've had lots of gifts for over the years - but this one takes the biscuit.
