It seems that Nigel Farage's choice of leaders for Durham County Council has backfired as predicted by quite a lot of people.
Council leader Andrew Husband and his deputy Darren Grimes have let the leadership of the council down as both are very inexperienced.
Mr Husband is now paid an allowance by the council.

Mr Husband also seems to think the people who have left Reform UK are no good as councillors.
His questionable leadership now leaves his Reform group with a majority of three.
Mr Grimes, who has cost the council about £11,000 of our money through investigations of the numerous complaints made against him, is a novice councillor and is in the wrong position, in my opinion.
Surely the time has come for the full council to hold elections and let the councillors decide who they want as the leader and deputy and the right people in other main council positions.
The leadership must now accept due to the number of councillors stepping away from Reform that there is a big problem and it needs to be addressed before more leave and Reform loses its majority.
The right move might maintain Reform's majority and give the people more faith in the party, or the embarrassing outcome could be the fall of a Reform-led council.
The present councillors must listen to their constituents and do what they think is best for them and represent them not a politically controlled party.
Let's all hope this can happen before it all gets out of hand.
Remember coalition leadership of the council can work.
The last one did compared to what we unfortunately have now.
