A READER gets in touch in support of plans to send asylum seekers to Rwanda.

"IT has been recently announced that asylum seekers will be sent to Rwanda. The fact is that for many years increasing numbers of fellow Britons (of differing races, creeds, colours, etc. ranging from individuals to enter families) have become or are facing homelessness.

"A number that’s increasing almost every day because there aren’t enough houses to house them. Many legal migrants end up in houses of multiple occupation. All because there aren’t enough houses to house them.

"Refugees and asylum seekers are having to be housed in Army barracks and hotels, all because there aren’t enough houses to house them.

"People are paid to provide spare beds for refugees from Ukraine, all because there aren’t enough houses to house them. Bishops, comedians and others can condemn this decision.

"But they and those who go on about the past or what might have been, aren’t providing any solutions.

"If we can’t provide enough housing for existing legal immigrants, refugees, asylum seekers, etc, let alone fellow Brits, then how are we supposed to house let alone educate and feed them?"
