THE Afghan expedition was allegedly to get regime change and give the Afghan folks a modern democratic style of life.

This supposes they ever wanted their warlord/tribal system altered, or their religious extremist style changed.

Had 9/11 not occurred leading to the US desire for revenge, the Taliban could have been in charge until hell froze over and no one would have been remotely interested.

The proof of this point? Cambodia, with Pol-Pot and his Khmer Rouge murder squads, who eliminated one million out of the seven million population.

Then we had Rwanda with genocide tribal fighting – one million slaughtered with machetes in 100 days. The response by Western powers? Nil.

There has to be only one reason: ruthless capitalism. Neither Rwanda, nor Cambodia, had any military value, nor raw materials value.
