A 65-YEAR-old local woman has been arrested after a hit and run in which an 84-year-old grandmother died.
The incident happened in the car park area of the Parkway Shopping Centre, opposite KFC, Coulby Newham, Middlesbrough, shortly before 11am on Wednesday, December 7.
The vehicle did not stop at the scene.
The woman was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and failing to stop at the scene of a collision.
She remains in police custody.
Police have also named the woman who died as Olwyn Fulton.
She was a mother to two children, a son and a daughter, and a grandmother to ten.
