A WOMAN has been taken to hospital after being trapped under a van in Brotton, east Cleveland.
The 35-year-old pedestrian was taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries to her legs after she is believed to have been hit by the van on Brotton High Street.
Brotton High Street was closed between Coach Road and Saltburn Road at about 2.30pm today while the Great North Air Ambulance landed.
She was assessed by a paramedic and a doctor who decided she could be taken to hospital by road ambulance.
Firefighters from Loftus and Skelton helped free the woman from under the van.
