AN AIRCRAFT had to make an emergency landing because methane gas from its cargo of sheep set off the smoke alarms.
The Singapore Airlines plane was flying from Sydney to Kuala Lumpur when the alarms went off and it had to land at Denspasar. Investigations showed that gas from the 2,000 sheep in the cargo was the cause of the alert.
