ITV is switching up the Emmerdale and Coronation Street TV schedules next week due to the broadcaster airing a football match on Wednesday evening (October 28).
The soaps are regularly disrupted due to football matches and sometimes even awards ceremonies.
Next week, the Carabao Cup will disrupt the usual schedule that soap fans are used to.
Here's what we know about the TV schedule for soaps in the coming days.
Emmerdale and Coronation Street soap schedules to be different next week
While Emmerdale and Coronation Street will mostly follow their usual schedules next week, there is an exception.
The Carabao Cup's fourth round will see Liverpool play against Chelsea at Anfield and coverage will begin on ITV1 at 7.30pm.
Kick-off is at 8pm, meaning the match will run across both the usual Emmerdale and Corrie slots, which are 8pm and 8.30pm respectively.
It’s not yet clear if soap fans will get to watch an episode on Sunday to make up for the loss of Wednesday’s.
The Pride of Britain Awards to affect soap schedules this week
Tonight (October 22), The Pride of Britain Awards will air on ITV1 from 8pm.
The awards ceremony celebrates the extraordinary acts of the British public.
The saddest plots in Emmerdale
Due to the programme starting at 8pm, Emmerdale and Coronation Street will not air.
However, on Sunday, an Emmerdale episode will air at 8pm and Coronation Street will be on from 8.30pm to make up for tonight's missed episodes.
Emmerdale star Lawrence Robb scores 30 in Icons Week on Strictly
Lawrence Robb, known for his role on Emmerdale, scored an impressive 30 out of 40 points on Strictly Come Dancing last week.
Icons Week (week four) of the BBC dancing competition saw Robb dance a salsa to La Copa De La Vida by Ricky Martin with his professional partner Jowita Przystał.
He is through to the fifth week of the show.
Strictly Come Dancing’s results show paid tribute to Madonna and Dolly Parton for Icons Week.
It featured a performance from the dancers inspired by the many different eras of Madonna’s career.
The country singer Belles, who recorded a duet with Parton earlier this year, performed her hit Jolene, accompanied by a performance from professional dancers Amy Dowden and Kai Widdrington.
Parton, one of the most successful country stars of all time, died of cancer in August at the age of 80.
