The best AI and tech features of the year have been crowned at the Currys Tech of the Year Awards 2026.
In its second annual awards scheme, following 2025's Ai.mazing Awards, a number of innovations were highlighted.
Here are the 11 features that were recognised at the awards that you need to get your hands on.

Google Pixel Voice Translate
Google Pixel Voice Translate claimed both Best Mobile AI Feature and the overall AI Feature of the Year Award.
It enables real-time voice translation in selected languages, mimicking the user's natural voice and tone.
Practical uses include making restaurant bookings abroad or conversing with international business contacts.
The feature is available on the Pixel 10 and later models, including the Pixel Fold.
Samsung Galaxy Privacy Display (S26)
The Samsung Galaxy Privacy Display (S26) won Best Mobile Feature and the main Feature of the Year award.
It enhances screen privacy by limiting side-angle visibility, making it safer to use devices in public.
Samsung said: "In sensitive situations such as certain password entry, upon setting, the screen can be automatically shielded to reduce exposure of personal information.
Individual settings can be configured by app, allowing selective application only to certain supported financial apps or personal apps, for example."
Microsoft Copilot+ PC
Microsoft Copilot+ PC secured the Best Computing AI Feature award.
These Windows 11 PCs are equipped with dedicated hardware to run AI features directly, including Windows Studio Effects, Live Captions with translation, improved Windows Search, and Cocreator.
Samsung AI Motion Enhancement Pro
Samsung's AI Motion Enhancement Pro was named Best Entertainment AI Feature.
Available on Samsung’s AI TVs, it maintains visual clarity during fast-moving content such as live sports.
Samsung said: "Whether it’s rapid action or subtle motion, the screen remains vivid and fluid – keeping you fully immersed in the game."
Samsung AI Wash
Samsung’s AI Wash programme earned the Best Kitchen AI Feature award.
Found in selected washing machines, it uses four sensors to weigh the load, assess soil levels, and adjust water, detergent, rinse time, and spin speed accordingly.
Meta Hands-free AI
Meta’s Hands-free AI won Best Connected Home and Wearables AI Feature.
Integrated into Meta’s AI glasses, it allows users to make calls and send messages on various platforms using only voice commands.
Asus Zenbook Duo Dual 14" 3K OLED Touchscreens
The Asus Zenbook Duo Dual 14" 3K OLED Touchscreens won Best Computing Feature.
Its dual displays expand the workspace to 19.8 inches, offering greater versatility for different tasks.
LG RGB Primary Colour Pro
LG’s RGB Primary Colour Pro technology was awarded Best Entertainment Feature.
Featured in the LG Mini RGB evo 4K TV lineup, it delivers enhanced colour accuracy and picture clarity.
LG said: "Within the LG RGB TV lineup, LG Micro RGB evo TVs are powered by the alpha 11 AI Processor with a Dual AI Engine, enabling more precise and sophisticated image control."
Ninja Creamify
Ninja Creamify won Best Kitchen Feature.
This technology, used in Ninja’s ice cream and frozen drink makers, can transform almost any ingredient into ice cream, soft serve, and more.

Sonos Multi-room Audio
Sonos Multi-room Audio was named Best Connected Home and Wearables Feature.
The system lets users play synchronised audio across multiple rooms or different tracks in separate areas using Wi-Fi and a single smartphone app.
NEFF Slide&Hide Retractable Oven Door
The NEFF Slide&Hide Retractable Oven Door received the Accessibility Award.
It features a sliding handle and a door that hides, creating more space and easier access when cooking multiple dishes.
