McDonald’s is axing one of its popular value deals after 15 years.
The fast food chain’s Wrap of the Day promotion, which has been a staple of its menu since 2011, will no longer be available to order in restaurants from July 14, part of changes to 'improve value offers'.
Currently, the rotating wrap deal is available for £2.49 at kiosks and tills, but it will soon become exclusive to the McDonald’s app under a new offer called 'Get Any Wrap in the App.'
A McDonald’s spokesman said: "From July 14, our new 'Get Any Wrap in the App' offer will enable customers to redeem any wrap for £2.49, any day of the week, on the McDonald's App.
"We regularly review the ways we can improve our value offers and moving this new deal onto the app means customers will have more flexibility to choose their favourite wrap on any day they’d like it."
What is the new 'Get Any Wrap in the App' deal?
Under the updated scheme, customers can select any wrap for £2.49 via the app between 11am and 11pm, but the deal can only be redeemed once per day. The price at kiosks will revert to the standard menu rate, which ranges from £4.49 to £5.79.
The change has sparked frustration among fans, with many taking to social media to voice their disappointment.
One Reddit user said: "BOYCOTT BOYCOTT BOYCOTT."
Another commented: "THEY'RE REMOVING WRAP OF THE DAY??? no way.. I miss when it was £1.99."
The move comes as McDonald's implements further changes to its promotions.
Recent customer reports indicate that the Food for Thoughts survey scheme, previously seen as one of the most cost-effective ways to get a meal, was changing from May.

Previously, completing a feedback survey on a receipt allowed customers to claim a burger-and-fries meal for £2.99. Under the new format, survey participants receive a free medium fries, cheeseburger, or McFlurry—either Oreo or Smarties—when spending £5.
These changes appear to reflect a broader shift by McDonald’s towards promoting its digital platforms and streamlining its value offers.
While the company has positioned the app-driven approach as offering greater choice and flexibility for customers, the removal of legacy deals like Wrap of the Day from tills and kiosks has prompted pushback from diners who prefer traditional in-store ordering.
