Tom Swarbrick is reportedly in talks to join Good Morning Britain (GMB)'s guest presenter roster after he wowed viewers with his recent stint.

Swarbrick, 39, impressed viewers during his three-day stint on GMB and is now reportedly in talks to join the ITV breakfast programme’s roster of guest presenters.

He co-hosted the show alongside Ranvir Singh last week, filling in for regulars Susanna Reid and Ed Balls during the half-term break.

An insider told The Sun: "It’s early days, but there are conversations being had about Tom returning in the near future.

"He was an instant hit with viewers, managing to connect with them effortlessly through the screen.

"Although he’s an established broadcaster, he’s new to Good Morning Britain, and it’s thought he’ll help to shake up the status quo a bit."

An ITV spokesperson said the show regularly brings in guest presenters when main hosts are on leave.

Swarbrick, who presents the weekday Drive programme on LBC, previously appeared on GMB in March to review the headlines but had not sat in the main host's chair until last week.

Fans quickly took to social media to share their support.

One viewer wrote: "Loving these two.

"Tom and Ranvir need to be seen more.

"Thoroughly enjoying #gmb."

Another posted: "Really impressed with Tom Swarbrick on the show, very professional, definitely an asset to the programme."

A third added: "Tom Swarbrick great addition to the prog.

"He's v knowledgeable and not intimidated from giving his opinion.

"He's a keeper.."

Despite the praise, Swarbrick admitted to feeling nervous on his first day, which fell on Bank Holiday Monday.
