A new twist on a much-loved chocolate bar is set to hit shelves later this year.

Twirl fans will be able to try Cadbury's new limited-edition Golden Dipped Twirl, a caramelised white chocolate version of the classic treat.

The bar features the brand's signature flaky chocolate coated in smooth golden, caramelised white chocolate instead of the usual milk chocolate.

A spokesperson for the brand said: "Yes, the rumours are true.

"Some of our eagle-eyed fans may have spotted that the new limited-edition Cadbury Twirl Golden Dipped bars are coming.

"We’ll be unveiling the bars nationwide later this year, so keep your eyes peeled for further details on the launch – we promise, it will be worth the wait."

Cadbury has not yet revealed the exact launch date, but confirmed the bar will be available nationwide for a limited time.

The announcement follows last year’s release of the Cadbury Twirl White Dipped, which reminded many fans of the discontinued Cadbury Snow Flake from the early 2000s.

As with the previous limited editions, the Golden Dipped Twirl will only be available for a short time.

Other past variations have included the popular Twirl Orange.

The launch adds to a modest line-up of new and returning Cadbury products this year.

The Golden Dipped Twirl is expected to appeal to fans of caramelised white chocolate, and those still missing the discontinued Caramac bar.

Shoppers are being encouraged to keep an eye out for updates, as Cadbury says further details will be shared closer to the launch.
