Waitrose is making a big change to its MyWaitrose free coffee offer.
The luxury supermarket loyalty scheme is changing the terms and conditions for the deal, meaning no purchase is now required to get the free coffee or tea.
This is the same rule as was initially brought in when the deal was first launched back in 2013. Shoppers will still need to bring a reusable cup.
Previously the chain only offered the free drink to shoppers who had bought something in store first.
But from next week shoppers can bag the beverage without having bought anything.

The shake up will mean MyWaitrose members are free to browse while sipping from their reusable mugs, and for those visiting at the end of the day, they no longer risk having the machine switched off for cleaning before they finish their shopping.
MyWaitrose free coffee changes over the years
The free takeaway coffee offer has been a welcome incentive since its launch in 2013. It's only been available to loyalty scheme members.
- Initially it was served in the supermarkets' cafes, and customers could sit down and enjoy a cuppa before or after their shop.
- In January 2015, the rules changed so that free coffee in the cafes was only available for customers who bought food to eat in at the same time.
- Then in November 2016, Waitrose changed the rules for the free drink offer - so that shoppers had to buy something instore - in a small number of stores.
- The following year customers the rules changed again and customers had to buy something else before they could have a free coffee.
- In 2018, the offer was changed again and was only available from self-service coffee machines for customers bringing a reusable cup.
- Now from Monday, the only requirement to bag a free coffee is that you bring a reusable cup - no store purchase needed.
What else is changing?
In an email sent to MyWaitrose shoppers the chain outlined the rule change as well as a raft of other tweaks to the scheme.
Free newspapers are not coming back and have now been removed from the list of perks.
You can now save 20% at the cheese counter on Thursdays.
You can now be a MyWaitrose member if you live in Northern Ireland.
