BOOKLOVERS of all ages attended a book fair on Stockton High Street at the weekend.
A marquee on Stockton High Street played host to the town's book fair, selling everything from new, used and educational books to comic books and graphic novels.
There were magical-themed activities and a reading corner with an Enchanted Forest theme where youngsters could sit to read their new books.
Independent bookshop Drake, on Silver Street, also hosted book signings with local children's authors Em Lynas and Gabrielle Kent, as well as local adult fiction writer Will Nett.
Owner Richard Drake said he was excited to be offering local authors and had new titles on show as well as a new section for younger readers who were keen to begin on books with chapters.
The event was part of a series of specialist markets which Stockton has been holding in a bid to boost trade on the High Street, which has recently seen Marks & Spencer shut its branch in the town centre.
