BUDDING pop stars and musicians can see if they have the "X Factor" by playing in a sound booth.
Taster sessions are being held next week at Tees Valley Music Service, in Bishopton Road West, Stockton.
People of all ages can play in its sound pod, an interactive room full of electronic drum kits and percussion stations, electric guitars, bass guitars, keyboards and even laptops fully loaded with the latest recording and composing software. It can be used for band nights, school groups, birthday parties and recording sessions.
Councillor Ann McCoy, cabinet member for children and young people for Stockton Borough Council, which manages the Tees Valley Music Service, said the sound pod was a fantastic facility suitable for all ages.
"It gives people of all abilities the chance to learn how to play an instrument or develop skills they may already have."
Taster sessions, costing £5 per person, will be held on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, from 6pm to 7pm.
They are open to all ages but places are limited. To book, call 01642-603600 or email TVMS@stockton.gov.uk
