CHILDREN at a Middlesbrough primary school learned about healthy eating and becoming more active thanks to a visit by a "health bus".
Middlesbrough Football Club's health bus is a new initiative to advise people on living healthier lifestyles.
The MFC in the Community bus made an appearance at Beechwood Primary School in Middlesbrough, where children took part in fitness-testing, playing Nintendo Wii games and anti-smoking quizzes.
Chris Hooker, senior project worker for MFC in the Community, said: "The bus is a fantastic opportunity for local children to learn in a different, unique environment.
"The Health Bus can be a key tool in engaging the young people of the Tees Valley, as well as adults who want to lead a healthier lifestyle."
Funded by Arriva, Tees PCT, Middlesbrough FC, Promethean and Onyx Group, the bus is fully refurbished with the most up to date technology.
The bus is available for use seven days a week by schools, community groups and partners throughout the Tees Valley.
