FASHION students have been showing off their handiwork and designs on the catwalk to celebrate their final year degree.

The 17 students from Cleveland College of Art & Design’s (CCAD) Hartlepool campus showcased their colourful and creative designs using professional models.

Themed ‘21 Collective’ their work featured collections for menswear, womenswear, lingerie and teenage boys wear.

Chloe Bethwaite, 21, who is originally from Cumbria and now lives in Hartlepool, has just completed her BA (Hons) Fashion degree and took part in the show.

She said: “My concept led to designs that merged womenswear and menswear clothing to create a unisex look that was non-gender biased in shape, design and colour. The build up to the show was quite stressful as we had to prepare our static show as well as our catwalk.

"However it was very exciting on the day as we had models arriving and the set-up of the catwalk which was a first for us and the college."

Vicky Wake, programme leader for the BA (Hons) Fashion degree, said: “I am very pleased that all the hard work that goes into producing the show has been so well received both internally and externally and how hard the fashion team and students have worked all year to make the event possible.”
