SOME council services in Teesside could be affected by strike action this week.
Local government staff are joining in the public sector pay dispute tomorrow (THURS).
Middlesbrough Council is warning some refuse and green waste might not be collected until the next allocated green waste collection day.
A spokesman said: “We apologise for any inconvenience, and would ask residents whose waste is not collected to present it again on the next collection day.”
Hartlepool Council and Redcar and Cleveland Councils said libraries and some schools, community centres, day centres would be closed or affected, and some bin collections affected. Household waste recycling sites in both boroughs will be affected.
