A TEES food festival played host to Great British Menu winner Kenny Atkinson and attracted 20,000 last weekend.
The Michelin- starred chef performed a food demonstration at Saltburn’s first ever food festival on Milton Street.
Lorna Jackson, who said she had already been inundated with requests to hold another festival next year, said: “Our visitor numbers far exceeded what we could have even dreamed of. It was busy from half an hour before we opened right up until closing time.”
There were 45 stalls and a third of them sold out of produce before the event had closed.
Kenny Atkinson, the new patron of Saltburn Farmers' Market, is due to make more local appearances in the town in the coming months.
