A TEN-YEAR-OLD and a 14-year-old rushed to the aid of a woman who was mugged on Monday.
The two young boys raised the alarm after finding the injured woman, who had been robbed in an alleyway in Middlesbrough.
The 48-year-old had entered the alleyway, off Stokesley Road, when she was approached by an unknown person who pushed her over and stole her bag, containing a HTC mobile phone and a small amount of cash.
The victim had to be treated at the town's James Cook University Hospital for facial injuries sustained during the attack.
Any witnesses to the incident should contact DC Deborah Edney of Middlesbrough CID on non-emergency number 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
