POLICE are appealing for help to track burglars who stole jewellery and the victim’s car which was parked in the garage.

The raid took place on Maple Road, in Richmond, when the burglars broke in sometime between January 30 and 6.40pm on February 3.

The crooks stole a 9ct gold chain, a Victorian watch gold chain with a watch clip on the end and a silver deer shaped broach with an amber body.

They also took a 9ct gold rough heart shape broach with a sapphire teardrop stone, a 9ct gold man's watch chain and two Victorian thin 18ct gold necklaces with glass beads.

A 9ct gold emerald ring with two small diamonds on either side of the emerald, a blue marbled Conway Stewart fountain pen and a black Dell computer were also taken.

A silver standard Sky box, a black 3 mobile internet dongle and a number of bank cards were stolen too.

The burglars also swiped a set of keys to a Ford Mondeo parked in the garage which they stole.

PC Neil Brodhurst, or Richmond Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: "This burglary understandably left the homeowner very upset.

"I am appealing to anyone who knows anything about this burglary to contact me as soon as possible."
