LOCAL drama groups from around the region have signed up to take part in a drama festival that welcomes groups of all ages and ability.
The One Act Drama Festival, hosted by the Georgian Theatre Royal, in Richmond, is an annual event that acts as a preliminary round for the All England Theatre Festival.
The festival will begin on Thursday and finishes on Saturday, with performances starting at 7.30pm for each of the three nights.
Youth groups taking part in the festival include Colburn Community Primary School, Applause Youth Theatre, Wensleydale School and the Georgian Theatre Royal Youth Theatre.
Competitors in the adult groups include the Allerton Players and the Leyburn Amateur Dramatic Society.
