A FITNESS trainer has started a series of special weekly boot camps designed to help people get fit while raising money for charity.

Fast Blast Boot Camps, run by trainer Debbie Jukes, will hold Burn the Fat and Help Haiti boot camps, which will raise money for the British Red Cross Haiti Appeal and to promote fitness as part of a healthy lifestyle.

The first boot camp will take place this Saturday from 8.15-9am at Ronaldshay Park, in Richmond.

Participants can workout at their own pace for the duration of the boot camp and activities include group exercises designed to burn fat and firm and tone the entire body.

Ms Jukes said: "The current economic state has drastically reduced the amount of donations being made to charities and non-profit organisation so we’ve decided to kill two birds with one stone.

"We hope to encourage local people to come down for a boot camp workout where 100 per cent of their donations go to the British Red Cross to help the Haiti Appeal."

The boot camp will continue at the same time and venue each Saturday.

Suggested donations are between £5-10 and donations paid by cheque should be made out to British Red Cross or via www.justgiving.com/FBBC-Haiti.

Cash and cheque donations will be collected on Saturday,.
