A GROUP of safety experts held an informal meeting to provide advice and support to shoppers.
The Richmond Safer Session was held at the Co-op, in Richmond, with representatives from the Richmondshire Community Safety Partnership, which included the Richmond Safer Neighbourhood Team, the anti-social behaviour co-ordinator and North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service.
The Richmond Safer Session is held to help the group engage with the local community, who are invited to come along to express concerns and issues that effect their quality of life.
The representatives present aim to provide support, reassurance, and advice to people who may be feeling vulnerable or concerned over any issue within the community. More Safer Sessions will be organised throughout the year, and will be advertised in the community and on the North Yorkshire Police and Richmondshire Community Safety Partnership websites.
