THREE men have braved the pain barrier by having their legs waxed to raise funds for a farming group.

The charity male leg wax was held at the Arden Arms, in Atley Hill, near South Cowton where two members of Catterick Young Farmers had their legs waxed for Swaledale Mountain Rescue Team and Catterick Young Farmers Club funds.

The unlucky members were Rob Morris and Jack Henry, who were joined by Arden Arms landlord Alex Liddle.

The men were put to the test as members of the public had a go at pulling off the wax strips, as well as professional Siobhan Caffery from Saks Salon, in Northallerton.

Laura Stephenson, chairman of the Catterick Young Farmers, said: "A lot of thanks goes to all three males and Siobhan for kindly taking part.

"The event was a great success and raised just over £350 for our group and the mountain rescue team."
