A RESTAURANT is offering a takeaway service with a difference - all profits are going towards a social enterprise set up to support Dales Residents.

Staff at The Saddle Room, located just outside of Middleham on the Tupgill Park Estate, are now returning to work on a voluntary basis.

They are supporting the ‘Out of the Saddle’ initiative and have become the first official sponsors of the Group Hug app developed by Jonathan Greenwood.

During lockdown, Mr Greenwood enlisted the support of volunteers and businesses to deliver parcels to vulnerable people and keyworkers across the Yorkshire Dales.

Following on from the success of the scheme, he is developing the Group Hug App, designed to support local people through various topics including life as a farmer in the Dales, family advice and mental health support.

The Saddle Room are sponsoring the initiative to enable further development of the service.

Leo Morris, manager of The Saddle Room said: "I approached my team, who are currently on furlough, with the ‘Out of the Saddle’ idea and they all jumped at the chance to give up their time voluntarily
