RICHMOND Business and Tourism Association and Richmond Town Council are working together to keep residents informed about how local businesses are operating during coronavirus measures.

The association and town council have produced a leaflet to let local residents know the Richmond businesses that are able to take telephone or email orders to have food and non-food items delivered or posted.

Whilst it can be hard to find provisions online or in the big supermarkets, local retailers are stepping up to the mark and offering home deliveries or packing boxes for collection.

A leaflet has been compiled that lists retailers who are able to help and giving contact details for phone or email orders.

Marcia McLuckie, chair of the Association said: “Our business owners and their staff are kind and willing to help with your orders and a cheery word.

“Please don’t hesitate to get in touch for your shopping needs.

“It is important to support local shops through this crisis to keep businesses going so they are there for us when life gets back to normal.”

The leaflet is being distributed in Richmond, Catterick and the surrounding villages.

The list can also be found at originalrichmond.co.uk under the ‘Coronavirus’ tab.
