THE characters and locos that make the North Yorkshire Moors Railway so popular with visitors will be returning to the small screen this month.
Series three of The Yorkshire Steam Railway: All Aboard, will be airing on Channel 5 on Friday, February 21.
The programme shines a spotlight on the cast of characters doing their best to keep Britain’s busiest steam railway on track.
Channel 5 promises that the series will take viewers on a 'glorious roller-coaster ride', adding: "In this season there’s more drama, more humour and more magnificent steam engines - all set against the glorious backdrop of North Yorkshire."
The North Yorkshire Moors Railway Preservation Society, which keeps the railway running, was formed in 1967. Its members were convinced that operating the line between Grosmont and Pickering could be viable if sufficient voluntary help was forthcoming.
