BANGER Boffins Heck Sausages are backing Britain after being chosen to star in a new TV series celebrating the best the country has.

Bedale based Heck have established themselves as one of the most popular brands in the country breaking new ground in the sausage world with vegan and chicken bangers. They're appearing in ITV 4's Made in Britain series tonight at 8pm alongside Flymo lawnmowers and Globetrotter Suitcases

The Keeble family, parents Debbie and Andrew and four children only launched Heck in 2013. The youngest sausage boss Jamie who is 28 features largely in the ITV 4 programme as the sales manager who has pushed forward expansion of the brand going into Australia and Holland.

A health scare two years ago when he was diagnosed with testicular cancer didn't stop him as he changed the name of Heck's popular chicken sausage to Check to raise awareness of men's health. He adds: "We've just launched a healthy chickfurter, and were even looking at launching Heck beer. Were on a mission to change the food world and how we as a nation view and enjoy our daily nosh."
