THE team at Saks at Sedbury Hall is hosting a special Afternoon Tea event at Headlam Hall to raise money for the Eve Appeal.

Guests will enjoy a traditional afternoon tea with a complimentary glass of Prosecco while a live pianist will play in the background.

Local businesses will have stalls at the event on Sunday. September 22, including Sue Hoo Gifts and Homeware, Kacao Chocolaterie and Renne Jewellery.

Every guest will receive a goody bag worth more than £20, and a £10 voucher to redeem in the Saks Sedbury Hall salon. The salon team will be holding beauty and Ghd demonstrations and will be giving away £300 worth of hair and beauty vouchers. There will also be a raffle with prizes including table decorations from Harriet Jane Flowers also available to buy on the day, Sunday lunch for four at the Blue Lion in East Witton, Masons Gin signed by celebrity chef James Martin, a family pass for the Bowes Museum and a day pass for two at Thorpe Perrow Arboretum.

All money raised from the charity event will go to the Eve Appeal which raises awareness and funds research into the five gynaecological cancers.

Sue Dickinson, beauty manager at Saks Sedbury Stables, said: “Our afternoon tea event promises to be a fabulous afternoon. All the money raised on the day will go to the Eve Appeal, which is a cause we’re all passionate about. The team has already raised £11,400 over the past few years and this year we hope to take that up to £15,000 by the end of the year.”
