A DONATION from a homebuilder will ensure children at a North Yorkshire school aim high to receive a fun day out.

Harron Homes handed over a cheque for £500 to the 500-pupil Boroughbridge High School.

The money will contribute towards a student rewards trip to the Flamingo Land Resort near Malton.

The cheque was presented to headteacher, Kathryn Stephenson, who said: “On behalf of the school, I would like to pass on my thanks to Harron Homes for showing their support for our trip.

“Events like this can often be costly, so we appreciate all the help that we receive.”

Harron Homes has a new development called Hockley Croft off Leeming Lane, Boroughbridge, and the site's sales executive Heidi Elliott presented the cheque to the Boroughbridge School.

She said: “It was my pleasure to deliver this donation for the benefit of pupils at Boroughbridge High School.

“We hope that the money will come as a huge help in organising the visit to Flamingo Land, and that the students have a great time on the day.”

Hockley Croft still has a number of four and five-bedroom homes available to reserve, with prices starting from £349,995 and £579,995 respectively.

Harron Homes are behind several developments across North Yorkshire including Bishop's Glade in Ripon and King's Croft in Killinghall near Harrogate as well as national developments.
