THE SEARCH has been launched to find a new Chief Fire Officer for North Yorkshire.
Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner Julia Mulligan said the new officer will need to be an inspirational leader bringing a new approach to the delivery of fire and rescue services across the county and delivering real and sustainable benefits.
Andrew Brodie is currently serving as the interim Chief Fire Officer on secondment from Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service until January 2020. Mrs Mulligan added: "It is important we have a permanent Chief Fire Officer to lead the dedicated firefighters and service staff. They will reach out to partners and communities to bring the service to the table in new ways and be truly ambitious about how the service can contribute to supporting people in need."
