A DALES youth club is set to be relaunched after funding has been provided for two new members of staff.
The Hawes Youth Club closed recently because of staffing issues and a drop in numbers, but youth leaders are keen for the club, for 11 to 16-year olds, to reopen soon.
Richie Bastow, from North Yorkshire Youth, said: “Hawes Youth Club is an important part of the upper Dales community and has provided young people with a warm and safe space to relax and socialise with friends for many years.
“Currently the club is looking to rebuild its staff/volunteer team thanks to new funding from Big lottery, Hawes and High Abbotside Parish Council and NYCC Stronger communities.
A meeting for children, parents and the to discuss the future of the club at Hawes Market Hall on February 20 from 6.30pm to 8pm.
