A YORKSHIRE gin company has taken on a new head distiller with hopes to remain in the forefront of innovation in the gin market.
Masons had been searching for a number of years for a new head distiller, since Gerard Macluskey relocated to Scotland.
The firm, run by Karl and Cathy Mason, wanted to find someone who could maintain and develop the quality in Masons current distinctive portfolio of editions, which currently includes Original, Tea, Lavender, and Peppered Pear.
Masons feel they have now found the perfect head distiller in Luke Smith, the former head distiller at Poetic License.
Mr Smith is well known in the industry for creating distinct gins different from anything else on the market so is perfect for Masons who have now won more than 50 international awards.
Mr and Mrs Mason and the team said: "We are incredibly thrilled to welcome him on board and look forward to seeing what exciting developments he has to bring."
Masons Yorkshire Gin was founded in June 2013 and its awards include gold for the Original gin for lavender at the World Gin Awards 2018.
