A NEW scheme designed to reduce loneliness and isolation starts next week in Northallerton.
Primetime is a Hambleton District Council initiative which uses low intensity sports such as Boccia and New Age Curling as a way of encouraging people of all ages and abilities to come and play together.
The new club which is being funded by a grant from the Tesco's Bags of Help scheme will target older people and be based at Age UK’s new premises on Zetland Street, Northallerton.
A free taster session is taking place on Friday, December 7 at 10am until noon. Regular sessions will then commence in January which will cost £3 a session.
Primetime has proved a huge success in other areas. To book a place or find our more contact Joe Mckechnie 01609-767261 or Joe.mckechnie@hambleton.gov.uk.
