A NEW book is shining fresh light on the history of Richmond Old Grammar School.
'Godliness and Good Learning' has been produced by local company, Solstice Heritage, who worked with the Richmondshire Building Preservation Trust.
The Trust is working on plans to restore and repurpose the old school and local historians Nancy Tanner and Jim Brightman of Solstice Heritage have uncovered fresh stories about the school's fascinating past that spans across 600-years.
The new book can be bought for £8 at outlets in Richmond; the Station Shop and Castle Hill Bookshop.
It is also available to buy online through the Solstice Heritage Bookshop solsticeheritage.co.uk/shop.
Sales of the book will help with fundraising for the project to restore the school for the future use of the Richmond community.
