CHRISTMAS is coming early at a farm-based children’s nursery as they stage their latest fundraising event to support their charity of the year.

So far this year, High Bank Day Nursery in Stapleton, near Darlington, have raised £1,500 for the Great North Air Ambulance Service

They are hoping their latest event, a Christmas fayre taking place between 10am and 2pm this Saturday, 17th November 17 will take them over the £2,000 mark for the year.

The fayre will include various stalls, including beauty and skincare, farm produce, Christmas cards and gifts and children’s books. There will also be a raffle, tombola, face painting, lucky dip, children’s biscuit competition and food and refreshments.

High Bank Day Nursery staff member Gillian Beadle said: “We have been delighted to support the Great North Air Ambulance during 2018.

“There will be lots to do for the whole family and people will also be able to walk around our farm area."
