A BRASS band has performed a Proms in the Park-style memorial concert at a Catterick Garrison care home.
Rosedale Care Home welcomed 30-piece Reeth Brass Band to perform old and new music in an afternoon concert held in the gardens.
Paul Hutchinson, bandmaster of Reeth Brass Band, said: “We thoroughly enjoyed the day and performing in such a lovely setting. I think we enjoyed it just as much as our audience did.”
The concert was held in memorial of David Allinson, a popular resident at Rosedale – a nursing and dementia care home – and former Reeth Brass Band member for 50 years.
Activities coordinator Julie Dempsey said: “Residents were thrilled with the performance and it was a lovely way to celebrate David’s life with the band that meant so much to him.”
