THE deadline for entries to classes into one of the region’s largest agricultural shows takes place next week.
Stokesley Show is due to take place on the town’s showground on Saturday, September 19 and the deadline for entries into classes is Wednesday, September 2.
This year’s event will feature a range of events in the main ring, along with activities for families.
They include a laser game shoot, where people can have a go at virtual game shooting with a laser and the construction machinery attraction Diggerland will be bringing some machines for people to try out.
There will also be entertainment by Preston Gavioli Steam Driven Organ, which will be providing the accompaniment for a group of can-can dancers, and motorcycle stunts from Jason Smyth Adrenalin Tour Show.
Hammonds Saltaire Band will also be performing and there will be demonstrations by blacksmith Adrian Wood, along with an act featuring the creation of chainsaw sculptures.
In addition to classes for livestock, produce, crafts, horticulture and horses, there will also be about 45 craft stands in the craft marquee and about 140 trade stands.
