A CHARITY walk which raises cash for children with incurable illnesses is hold its start and finish lines at Britain’s highest pub.

The Dragonfly Challenge, organised by Josie’s Dragonfly Trust, is returning to the Yorkshire Dales at Tan Hill Inn on Saturday, July 4, with the option of ten, 15 and 25-mile circular walka.

Josie’s Dragonfly Trust, a children’s cancer charity which fundraises to grant special requests for young patients with no hope of a cure.

Sarah Hogg, fundraiser at the charity, said: “The challenge last year was a huge success, what people loved about it was that it is not a race.

“With three routes on offer, you can set your own distance and complete your own personal challenge.

“We encourage participants to enjoy the day and the spectacular views that are on offer.

"There is no place quite like the Tan Hill Inn and after a long walk, with no civilisation in sight, seeing the pub on the horizon marking the completion of your challenge is a feeling like no other.”

Funds raised from the Dragonfly Challenge help towards granting cash gifts and ‘dragonfly dreams’ for children with incurable cancer.

The charity support children and young people in up to 24 hospitals across the UK, helping families, friends and young couples create memories together when time is limited.

Registration for the Dragonfly Challenge is £10 with a sponsorship target of £50 to be raised for Josie’s Dragonfly Trust.
