A THREE day festival will be held at St Gregory’s Church, in Bedale, over the bank holiday weekend to help raise over £300,000 for a new roof and carry out repairs.
A range of events are planned, including crafts and events to tours of the church and tower along with neighbouring gardens.
Visitors can create their own Tour de France jersey, or an art masterpiece. Tours of the tower giving the best views of Bedale can be booked each day, with the crypt being opened specially for the event.
A flower festival is also being held in the church as well as bell ringing demonstrations. A craft and gift fair will be held in the Chantry Hall and tours of Bedale Manor Gardens. Events are being held from Saturday, May 24 to Monday, May 26.
