STUDENTS turned the clock back to the 1950s for some upbeat USA-style fun in the classic rock-and-roll love story Grease.
A 50-strong cast at the Allertonshire School in Northallerton staged the hit musical for packed houses of primary school children, friends and family.
And as well as taking to the stage students adopted the roles of stage managers, lighting and sound technicians, musicians, make-up artists, wardrobe and props masters and front of house staff.
The show marked the culmination of six months of rehearsals by students from Years 7 to 9 and music teacher Mary David said: “They have all done brilliantly well and I am really pleased with how they performed, given that it is a challenging and mature play.
“Many of the cast had not been experienced dancers and worked incredibly hard to learn the steps.”
