A HISTORIC building in Durham city centre has been converted into executive apartments for short term rent.
52 Old Elvet dates back to the 1700s but has now been transformed into state-of-the-art flats, while still retaining many traditional features.
The former gentleman’s club has been divided into one and two bedroomed apartments, with lounges, fully equipped kitchens and stylish bathrooms.
More than £1.5m has been spent on restoring the Grade II listed building and the apartments are aimed business people who need to be in the region for days or weeks.
A spokesman for Durham Boutique Lettings said: “They also have the added bonus of being large enough for private meetings and gatherings or for informal entertaining.”
