SCHOOL girls donned clothing made from recycled goods to raise money for Children in Need.
Students at Durham High School for Girls, in Durham City, took to the catwalk at lunchtime on Friday.
They were challenged to create outfits made from cardboard boxes, drinking straws, plastic cups, toilet rolls, bin liners and sticking tape.
Classmates paid 50p each to watch the show, which was held in the school’s main hall.
The school also held a non-uniform day and there was a cake sale and tombola.
Alan Whelpdale, the school’s acting head, said: "A priority of the high school is our commitment to serving others in the wider community.
"We are thrilled that the girls are so fully supportive of Children in Need."
